Professor, Ling-Feng SHI, Xidian University, China
Biography:
Prof. Ling-Feng Shi, Xidian University. Research Area: Sensor signal processing, navigation and positioning, wireless communication, radar signal processing. He has published more than 120 academic papers in journals, including more than 100 papers in journals, more than 20 papers in domestic and foreign conferences, and more than 90 papers indexed by SCI (more than 20 IEEE journal papers, nearly 20 articles in journals above the second district of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), nearly 20 EI indexed papers, more than 20 ISP indexed papers, 19 national authorized invention patents, 1 authorized utility model, 6 national invention patents applied, 2 invention patents transferred. He has 2 textbooks and 1 academic work in English. He has won 2 second prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress award and 1 Outstanding teacher award in Xidian University.
Associate Professor, Maciej Dzikuć, University of Zielona Gora, Poland
Biography:
Maciej Dzikuć is now a Associate Professor at University of Zielona Gora. He received his M.S degree (Master Management of the environment and the public economy, Faculty of Economics and Management ) from University of Zielona Góra, Poland. He received his Ph.D. degree (Economy Faculty, Department: Faculty of Engineering and Economics) from the Wroclaw University of Economics, Poland. And received DSc Degree (Institute of Economics and Finance) from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. He has published more than 240 publications (authorship and co-authorship). He has selected presentations (over 100 presented publications) during scientific conferences (mainly international, authorship and co-authorship). And he has participated lots of scientific experiments. His Research interests are Sustainable Development, Economics, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, Environmental Economics.
Senior Professor, Mohamed Zied BABAI, Kedge Business School, France
Biography:
Mohamed Zied BABAI is a senior professor at Kedge Business School (France). He obtained his habilitation to supervise PhD students (HDR) from University of Bordeaux in September 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris (France) in November 2005. In September 2002, he completed his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris. He earned his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tunis (Tunisia) in June 2001.
Since December 2013, he has been a senior professor at Kedge Business School and was the head of the Research Group "Operations and Supply Chain Management" from September 2009 to December 2015. Previously, he served as an associate professor at Kedge Business School from October 2008 to December 2013. He was also a research assistant at University of Salford - Salford Business School from October 2006 to September 2008 and a teaching and research assistant at Ecole Centrale Paris from October 2002 to September 2006.
He has held several visiting positions, including Isambard Kingdom Brunel Fellow at University of Portsmouth in July 2017, Leverhulme Visiting Research Fellow at Bucks New University from December 2012 to September 2013, Visiting Professor at AIMST University (Malaysia) in March 2011, Visiting Professor at King Saud University (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) from December 2009 to December 2011, and Visiting Professor at Salford Business School (Salford University, United Kingdom) from March 2009 to April 2009.
Professor, Syed Abdul Rehman Khan, Xuzhou University of Technology, China
Biography:
Dr. Khan completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Tsinghua University (the 16th-ranked University in the world). Throughout his academic career, Dr. Khan has made significant contributions to the field. As a Full Professor at Xuzhou University of Technology, he has published nearly 150 research articles. These articles, focusing on digital supply chain, sustainable development, technology-enabled circular supply chain, operations management, reverse logistics and sustainable supply chain management, have been published in various internationally renowned indexed journals. Dr. Khan's research has been recognized with highly cited researcher awards for the past three years. In addition, he has been listed in the World Top 2% highly cited researcher.
Dr. Khan has been invited as a keynote speaker and invited speaker at 50+ international conferences. He has also published nine books related to the strategic supply chain, digital technology and sustainability aspects of business operations.
Professor, Peter Vink, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands
Biography:
Prof dr Peter Vink is professor at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at the TU-Delft. His work concerns environmental design. From 2015-2021 he was head of the department Sustainable Design Engineering at this faculty, where he did lead a group of 110 researchers and teachers. He did write more than 250 papers and books in the field of comfort, performance and design of interiors. His latest book is ‘seat comfort and design’ (Pumbo, 2023), which is a follow up of ‘aircraft interior comfort and design’ co-authored by Klaus Brauer, one of the leading designers of the Boeing 787 interior (CRC Press, Boca Raton, 2011). Peter Vink received his PhD degree in 1989 at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leiden in the field of biomechanics. He is in the editorial board of scientific journals (e.g. Applied Ergonomics and Work), chaired the jury of the Crystal Cabin Award for three years (the most prestigious prize in aircraft interiors) and won the Hal W Hendrick Award in 2011, which is for a non-U.S. citizen who has made outstanding contributions to the human factors/ergonomics field. Peter is on the editorial board of several journals. According to https://exaly.com/author/2387407/peter-vink/rankings, Peter Vink is the “2nd most published author in Applied Ergonomics (Lifetime)”. Applied Ergonomics is the Q1 journal in his field. Peter guided more than 25 PhD students and is still guiding 5 PhD students. Peter Vink gave more than 50 keynotes worldwide and in 2024 Peter Vink was chosen as teacher of the year of the master education (see figure below left). He won this price 4x earlier. In 2022 Peter Vink’ s students won the Crystal Cabin Award, which is the most prestigious prize in aircraft interiors (see figure below middle). His students also won this prize three times earlier. In 2023 Peter Vink received the official royal distinction (he was made an Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau for his research on developing new products and environments with a proven effect on comfort, performance and health).
Professor, Yang YU, Dalian University of Technology, China
Biography:
Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Economics and Management and the Advanced Intelligence Research Institute, Dalian University of Technology, he is also a core researcher at the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Manufacturing Management Information Technology. He serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Logistics Systems Engineering Committee under the Chinese Systems Engineering Society. His research focuses on large-scale exact algorithms for classical optimization problems, intelligent optimization algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, logistics optimization, and production scheduling. With an H-index of 27, he has published over 60 SCI-indexed journal papers, more than 30 of which are as the first or corresponding author, including ones in the INFORMS Journal on Computing (UTD 24), Transportation Science, Transportation Research Part B, European Journal of Operational Research, and Computers & Operations Research. He was honored with the "2015-2024 Best Paper Award" by Frontiers of Engineering Management, the journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Chair Professor, Lalith Edirisinghe, CINEC Campus , Sri Lanka and Dalian Maritime University, China
Biography:
He is a Doctor of Engineering, a Chartered Logistician, and a Chartered Marketer. His expertise in education covers a wide range such as business management, logistics, and transport specializing in shipping, supply chain, and marketing. He is an expert consultant to the United Nations Secretariat. He is the author of two textbooks in Logistics and Shipping and have published over 100 research articles, introducing numerous theoretical models in shipping and pioneering new transportation theories and concepts. He holds the patent rights for the CONET Brand, a Container Inventory Management software. He have published a working paper and a handbook for the United Nations and one more research paper is in press.
Universities in the modern world are keen on developing “work-ready” graduates. With 43 years of diverse experience in the government and corporate sectors, He has served in various capacities across multiple industries. He has successfully implemented a new education concept in Sri Lanka namely, "education vertical integration" (EVI). Accordingly, in collaboration with government authorities and the CINEC Campus, He pioneered the introduction of Logistics and Commercial Shipping and maritime science as new subjects in the school curriculum in 2017 and 2024 respectively. He was instrumental in establishing a National Day for Logistics in 2021 and a National Day for Seafarers in 2024 in Sri Lanka. Therefore, He is confident that He has developed the required skills, confidence, and capacity to continue his career in the field of education to reach my goal he began my career in 1981 as a Cadet Officer in the Merchant Navy. Currently, he serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences at CINEC Campus and the Head of the Technology Transfer Office at the World Bank. He is also an active member of the Wellness Tourism Advisory Group of the European Union (EU) and the subcommittee of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board on Capacity Building.
His domestic-level contributions include involvement in drafting the National Transport Policy and National Tourism Policy documents in Sri Page 2 of 14 Lanka. His global engagements have allowed him to collaborate with universities across various countries, fostering international relationships.
